Happy Idul Fitri. It is Different

Hi, welcome back to writing with Nayla. Do you know that Idul fitri is coming soon? Only several days a head. As usual, we have to prepare everything for Idul fitri. Usually several days before Idul Fitri, we prepare foods such many kinds of cakes or breads. Traditionally, in Aceh there is our local tradition. All people buy meat and cook good foods. We also buy it. Not ony that, we also prepare some new clothes, shorts, and shoes that we use when Idul fitri celebration. Everything is new and fancy. So every idul fitri we always go home to my parents’ villages and my fathers’ village is in Manggeng and my mother‘s is in Ulegle. We often go home to ulegle because its not very far from Banda Aceh

But this year, in this situation we can’t go home to our village. We are not allowed to go home to our village because we are scare of the corona virus. As we know that the corona virus has spread all over the world and it has already killed more than 202.000 people and infected about 2,9 millions of people. It makes us just staying and celebrating the idul Fitri at home.

If go out, we will go by car. When we are in the car, we keep the distance too. So it is better if we just stay at home and don’t go any where. Maybe this Idul fitri will be different from before. May be we will celebrate Idul fitri in Banda Aceh. It will be different because we don’t shake hands. Maybe not a lot of people come to our house. We still use mask and social distance when we are out.

Actually, we really want to go home to our village, because when we are in the same house, we can gather and play with cousins. We like to play game from the morning until night and sometimes bad things happen if our other cousins like Arfa, and, Syarif. They always disturb and fight a lot. When they are around us, we don’t know what to do. And you know what they do? They make our house messy and make us crazy.
